There wasn’t a better way to honor Wayne “Doc” Herold than Jefferson Speedway did Saturday Night. The Wayne Herold Memorial Night was spectacular! The “Doc” was definitely smiling down as “The Action Track” lived up to it’s name.

The action was fierce in the early stages of the Hard Rock Landscape Hobby Stocks. Shane Strothman would finesse his way to the lead. The competive field in the PJ’s Painting Bandits put on a show once again. Karter Stark grabbed the early lead, and the chase was on. Stark led flag to flag but had to fend off numerous challenges by fellow competitors. Stark saw the checkers first, followed by Nick Schmidt, Nick Newton, Matt Krinke, and Trent Rueth. Stark and Rueth both wouldn’t pass post race technical inspection. That moved Jordan Goecks and Casie Brabant into the top five. Krinke was top of the charts in qualifying. Heats were won by Mason Lenz, Mason Wilcott, and Rueth.
