CAMBRIDGE, WI (Tuesday, September 3, 2019) It’s all come down this this. A season full of awesome racing action, fantastic memories made and even some heartbreak comes to a head this Saturday night at Jefferson Speedway. Championship battles will be settled as Griffin Ford Lincoln of Fort Atkinson presents Season Championship Night. While a couple divisions are basically sewn up, there are a couple other title chases that are far from settled.
CAMBRIDGE, WI (Saturday, June 1, 2019) Another spectacular night of racing entertainment sought to warm up the fans on a cool, damp evening in south central Wisconsin. An exciting finish to the B&M Electric 50 lap Late Model main event ended with Lake Mills pilot, Shaun Scheel parked in victory lane. The win caps a strong start to the 2019 campaign for Scheel, who is looking to build towards his first championship in Jefferson Speedway’s premier division.

Jefferson, WI- Weekly Late Models will join in the action on Saturday night May 25 at Jefferson Speedway as part of the ‘Salute the Troops 100’ for the ARCA Midwest Tour Super Late Models. The first ever Showdown Match Races and Weekly Late Model Throwdown join a full card of racing which also includes the Road Warriors at ‘Wisconsin’s Action Track’. The series of Match races for weekly Late Model from across the state will place man and machine head to head for five laps with the winner of each round moving onto the finale. Additionally, those same cars will be placed into a 25 lap Throwdown Feature event.
“This is something Terry Tucker and I have been scheming for some time.” Noted Midwest Tour’s Gregg McKarns. “We wanted to do something completely different for the Late Models, I think this fits the bill.” All cars will be seeded based on the best of three qualifying laps, with $200 being awarded to the fastest car. Cars will then be placed head to head in 5 lap Match Races with the winner moving onto the next round and securing the prize money for each round, ranging from $50 up to $150 for the final round. Then all weekly Late Model drivers will be placed into the 30 lap Throwdown feature which pays $500 to win, making it possible to win $1,000 plus the bonus tires. Each qualifying car will receive two Hoosier D-800 tires for the event which allows up to two new tires and any two D-800 tires (do NOT have to be from a weekly bank) with a maximum tread depth of 5/32”. Weekly Jefferson Late Model rules will be used for this non-points event.
Due to the extremely poor weather outlook for this Saturday.....including cold temps, blustery winds and the possibility of accumulating snow...we have been forced to postpone the 2019 season opener until Saturday, May 4.

CAMBRIDGE, WI (Tuesday, September 4, 2018) It’s come down to this. Since late April, the teams and drivers have been working to put themselves in position to possibly take home a championship. Plenty of ups and downs have lead to early September and the end of the 2018 racing season is around the corner. As we head into Season Championship Night presented by Griffin Ford Lincoln of Fort Atkinson, there are battles that need to be settled. Several division titles are still up for grabs with only one more night of racing to determine the season champions.
Following the completion of our heat races, thunderstorms forced the postponement of the remainder of our program. We will resume the second half of our scheduled program next Saturday, July 7. Following that, we will begin our regularly scheduled show.
