Noble Claims Overall Victory in 24th Annual Pepsi Wisconsin State Championships!

September 18, 2004; Jefferson, Wis. – Tim Noble of Janesville Scored 5th and 1st place finish, in the twin 50’s, to claim the overall title, in the “Pepsi Wisconsin State Championships.”
Starting inside row 6, in the first 50 lapper, Noble started forward, as Nick Went of Watertown grabbed the early lead. Wendt led the field, flag-to-flag, claiming victory, as Noble made his way to the 5th spot by the finish. At the stripe it was Nick Wendt for the win, followed by Andy Wendt, Kyle Jarlsberg, Dan Chesmore and Noble.
In the second 50, Roger Behlke claimed the early lead, guiding the way for 23 laps, as Noble battled through traffic. Noble overtook Behlke on lap 24, claiming the point and guiding the field to the checkered. At the stripe it was Noble for the win followed by John Ovadal Jr., Jason Schuler, Kyle Jarlsberg and Behlke.
The 5th and 1st place finish gave Noble the best, overall, finish, with Kyle Jarlsberg claiming 2nd place honors.
In International action, Aaron Rude of Cambridge claimed the win, in the 30 lap main event. Starting inside row 2, Rude watched Tim Seitz claim the early lead. Seitz surrendered the point, to Tim Petrie, on lap 11. Rude moved under Petrie, making the winning pass on lap 21. Rude was first to the finish, followed by Scotty Hoeft, Allen Petrie, Steve Allman and Chris Nelson.
In Sportsman action Trent Erdman of Fort Atkinson turned a 10th place start into a feature win, in the 50 lapper. Josh Courtney took the lead, at the green flag. Curt Thompson made his way past Courtney on lap 14, with Noel Ramge close behind for the 2nd spot. Ramge motored past Thompson on lap 27, with Erdman running 3rd. Erdman claimed 2nd on lap 29, pulling alongside Ramge by lap 37. The pair battled, side by side, for 9 laps before Erdman was able to edge his way to the point. As they flew past the checkers it was Erdman for the win, followed by Ramge, Luke Padfield, Thompson and Mark Deporter.
In Hobby Stock action Jim Tate Jr. of Watertown led the 35 lap main event flag-to-flag. At the finish Tate was followed by Larry Moen, Eaan Carson, Ken Au and Jim Robinson.
Bandit action saw John Remsik of Watertown win the 30 lap feature. Starting 10th Remsik made his way to the front, as Nick Nolden grabbed the early lead. Remsik relieved Nolden at the point, on lap 11, opening a strong lead. The yellow flag flew, on lap 15, to reverse the direction of travel. At the green, Bill Sweeney set his sites on Remsik, overtaking the leader on lap 23. Sweeney led the way for 3 laps, before lapped traffic played a part in the battle. Sweeney tangled with a lapped car, propelling Remsik Back to the top spot. At the stripe it was Remsik followed by Troy Yohn, Nolden, Sweeney and Dan Gosda.
This was the final racing event of the 2004 season, at Jefferson Speedway. The Management and Staff of Jefferson Speedway wish to thank the drivers, crew members and, especially, the fans for a great 2004 season.
