Evan Hassler wins Reynold’s Heating & Cooling 50 Lap Feature AT JEFFERSON SPEEDWAY

Late Models

The racing action was outstanding for Reynold’s Heating and Cooling night at Jefferson Speedway. “The Action Track” lived up to its name once again. Four of the five features saw intense battles down to the checkers. Those four feature were decided by a matter of feet at the finish line.

Laney Osborne and Tim Coley led the Taylored Construction and Remodeling Late Models to green. The caution flag would fly on lap two for a solo spin by Tyler Deporter. Osborne and Evan Hassler would pace the field on the restart. Hassler motored to the lead. Battles were fierce behind the young Hassler. Seth Reamer would move up to challenge for the lead halfway through the 50 lap main event. At that point there was serious action for 9th position as Michael Grueneberg, Shaun Scheel, and Jason Erickson exchanged some paint as they tried to advance their position. As Hassler and Reamer continued to battle for the lead, Stephen Scheel and Kurt Kleven were able to close the gap. As the checkers flew, Hassler would hold off Reamer to claim the feature win by only a couple of feet. They were followed by Stephen Scheel, Kleven, and Jesse Bernhagen.

Evan Hassler #38 Late Model Feature Winner 

Sportsman

The Lilly Auto Care Center Sportsman would put on a show of their own. Paul Johnson Jr would claim the early lead. John Ovadal Jr would take over the top spot on lap 6. Kody Hubred would immediately challenge Ovadal for the lead. Hubred stalked Ovadal lap after lap. Evan Leahy would turn Chris Jones around with 8 laps to go while battling for 3rd. Ovadal nipped Hubred at the line for the victory. Nick Bruley, Kyle Chwala, and Tytus Helgestad rounded out the top 5.

John Ovadal #71 Sportsman Feature Winner 

International

The Wolff Pack Apparel and Promotions International Division also provided a thriller. Carli Lenz and Anna Hatch led the field to the green. David Russell Jr aggressively swiped the lead away from Lenz on lap 2. Mark English motored past Russell on lap 6. English would have to contend with the hard charging Jason Uttech and Blake Nottestad. At the stripe English edged out Nottestad for the win. Uttech was a close 3rd, followed by Merek Pankow and Russell.

Legends

Jackson Lewis was the cream of the crop in the Legends Direct Feature. Lewis would knife his way through the field on his way to a clean sweep. Lewis was chased to the line by Jayden Johnson, Lincoln Cain, Cael Slater, and Carter Stein.

Bandoleros

The Bandos Direct Feature was loaded with excitement. Teegan Wangsness would jump out to the early lead. Battles ensued throughout the field. Wangsness would lead all but one lap. That lap being the most important one. Lincoln Johnson would steal the win away at the checkers in an excellent race to the finish line. The top 5 was rounded out by Bentley Thompson, Harley Johnson, and Ace Oldenhoff.
