46th Wisconsin State Championships Round 1 - Johnson, Rucks, Erickson Victorious while Lewis wins his first Wisconsin State Championship at Jefferson Speedway

Late Models

Glassworks of Wisconsin, Johnson and Sons Paving, and Wolff Pack Apparel and Promotions proudly presented the 46th Annual Wisconsin State Championships at Jefferson Speedway. Race teams had to endure two grueling nights of competition. Friday was qualifying, qualifying races, and preview features. Saturday was last chance races and twin features in all divisions.

Casey Johnson #5 Friday Late Model Feature Winner

Jackson Lewis showed speed and consistency in the Late Model Division to claim his first Wisconsin State Championship. The Preview Feature was won by Casey Johnson. Saturday’s features were claimed by Robbie Rucks and Jason Erickson. This was Rucks’ first career Late Model Feature win. Qualifying Races were win by Rucks and Steven Sauer. The Last Chance Race was won by Shane Radtke Jr. Luke Westenberg took home the Non Qualifiers Feature. Jason Erickson topped the competition in qualifying.

Sportsman

Evan Leahy now can call himself a Wisconsin State Champion in the Sportsman Division. Leahy earned the State Championship in 2025 in the International Division. The Illinois pilot started the weekend off by winning Friday’s Preview Feature and showed consistency on Saturday to earn the title. Saturday’s features were won by Nick Bruley and Kody Hubred. Jared Vike was victorious in the Qualifying Race. Bruley claimed Fast Qualifier Honors.

Hobby Stocks

Shane Strothman was crowned the Wisconsin State Champion for the Hobby Stocks. Chase Wangsness won features on both Friday and Saturday. Shane Radtke Jr also won a feature on Saturday. Austin Fowler won the Qualifying Race. Waylon Robinson set Fast Time for the weekend.

International

Mark English claimed his fourth Wisconsin State Championship in the International Division. Karter Stark won Friday’s Feature. Merek Pankow won his first career International Feature on Saturday. Matt Berger saw the checkers first in the other feature. Berger turned a blistering lap in qualifying to set the field.

Bandits

Karter Stark was the overall Wisconsin State Champion for the Bandits. Nick Schmidt won the Friday Feature. Saturday’s features were taken by Soren Johnson and Matt Krinke. Mason Lenz topped the field in the Qualifying Race. The Last Chance Race was won by CJ Wilcott. Johnson was top of the charts in qualifying.
