Jason Erickson shoots past Jackson Lewis to Victory in the late model feature at Jefferson Speedway

Late Models

Jefferson Speedway lived up to being “Wisconsin’s Action Track” yet again on Precise Auto and Truck Accessories Night. Three wide racing action was plentiful throughout the evening.

Fast Qualifier, Jason Erickson sliced up the competition on his way to victory in the Taylored Construction and Remodeling Late Model Feature. Erickson claimed the top spot just past the halfway mark of the 50 lap main event, and never looked back. Jackson Lewis continued his streak of top five finishes by finishing second. Michael Grueneberg had to settle for third in his Precise Auto and Truck Accessories ride. Current point leader, Carson Phillips finished fourth. David Patrick had a strong fifth place finish. Jerry Eckhardt beats his old record of the oldest driver to win a race at Jefferson Speedway by winning a Heat Race. Heats were also won by Lewis and Steven Sauer.

Slater started deep in the feature field and methodically worked his way to the front. Slater saw the checkers first, followed by Devon Lee, Carter Stein, Ryan Laatsch, and Gage Kubicz. Slater set fast time in qualifying. Heats were won by Tyler Edmundson, Stein, and Laatsch.

Bandoleros

Not many drivers can say they won their first career feature and were the Fast Qualifier on the same night. Well, Brayden Clossey can now say that. Clossey had to pass a lot of cars on his way to that first career feature win. Clossey dominated the event. Wesley Baumeister finished a distant second. Oliver Weinkauf, Harley Johnson, and Ace Oldenhoff rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Riley Burlingame, Blake Burlingame, Riley Wilke, Oldenhoff, and Ryder Robinson. Ty Robinson won the Consy. Wilke was victorious in the Last Chance.
