Kurt Kleven Victorious in the KNR Transport feature event at JEFFERSON SPEEDWAY

Late Models

The Taylored Construction and Remodeling Late Models didn’t disappoint. Heat races and the KNR Transport 50 lap main event were highly contested. Kurt Kleven would take home his second feature win of the season. Dylan Schuyler looked to have the field covered, but a caution with eight laps to go would bunch the field up. During the caution period, the KNR Transport sponsored car of Seth Reamer would experience what he thought to be an overheating issue. Reamer was running third when he had to retire to the pit area. Kleven used the double file restart to his advantage, overtaking Schuyler with six laps remaining. Shaun Scheel and Carson Phillips would also work their way past Schuyler for second and third. Scott Patrick would up fifth. Phillips was top of the charts in qualifying. Jerry Eckhardt, Scheel, and Steven Sauer claimed the heats.

Finally, someone else was able to win a feature in the Slater Racing Legends Division, other than Dillon Schwanbeck. That driver was Cael Slater. Slater held off Lincoln Cain and Schwanbeck at the checkers. Bentley Thompson and Devon Lee rounded out the top five. Schwanbeck had fast time and also won his heat.
