Kurt Kleven Wins his first ever feature during the Precise Auto & Truck Accessories Night

Late Models

Fans were treated to an action packed night at Jefferson Speedway. It was Precise Auto and Truck Accessories Night. Also on tap was the Championship Round of the Summer Shootout. The Summer Shootout was a three race mini series for the International Division. The series previously traveled to Golden Sands and Slinger Speedways.

Scott Patrick and Tim Coley paced the Taylored Construction Late Models to the green flag. Coley jumped out to the early advantage and had the best seat in the house as paint was traded throughout the field behind him. Shaun Scheel would catch and pass Coley with 20 laps to go in the 50 lap contest. Scheel had a mirror full of Kurt Kleven as he took the lead. Grueneberg was also in the mix as it was a three way battle for the lead. Kleven worked by Scheel with five laps to go. The battle was on for second. The rivalry continued between Scheel and Grueneberg as they made contact numerous times. Kleven held on for his first career feature win. Grueneberg was scored second, followed by Scheel, Tyler Deporter, and Jason Erickson.

Jones secured the lead on lap ten, as the rest of the field jockeyed behind him. Jones was able to hold on for the victory. Evan Leahy crossed the line in second, followed by Chwala, Nick Bruley, and Kody Hubred. Leahy would fail post race inspection.

International

Shawn Kemnetz and Amanda Bohn led an intense swarm of Wolff Pack Apparel and Promotions International cars. Kyle Stark blazed through the field from his 12th place starting position. He made multiple three wide passes on the top side to take the lead from Kemnetz on lap two. Karter Stark also started deep on the field and made his way to second by lap five. The caution flag flew on lap 11. This put the Starks side by side on the restart. Karter grabbed the lead away from dad as action resumed. The Starks would drive away from the field and Karter would hold on for the win. Josh Rusch crossed the line in third, followed by Mark Dewey and Jason Uttech. Rusch failed post race tech. Blake Nottestad was the overall Summer Shootout Champion. Second through fifth in Shootout Standings were Karter Stark, Mark English, Merek Pankow, and Mark Dewey. The Summer Shootout was made possible by Wolff Pack Apparel and Promotions, Ramcell Batteries, Outdoor Dock and Lifts, Snap-On Tools, and Doyle Buzzell Improvements.
