Scott Patrick Victorious and breaks his winless streak on Championship Night 2 & Alumni Night AT JEFFERSON SPEEDWAY

Late Models

Griffin Ford presented Season Championship Night at Jefferson Speedway. It was also Alumni Night as former drivers were invited to take in all the entertainment as a group. They were treated to four first time Track Champions being crowned.

Kyle Smith shot out to the early lead in the Late Model 60 lap main event. Jordan Lamb would overtake Smith on lap ten. Lamb held that lead until lap 18. Scott Patrick eased by to take the lead. Dylan Schuyler was all over Patrick’s rear bumper as the two veterans battled for the lead. Schuyler made numerous attempts to over take Patrick. Patrick was up for the challenge, finally finding his way back to Jefferson Speedway’s Victory Lane. Patrick ended his 22 year winless streak. The crowd showed their excitement, as the cheers roared over the race engines. Schuyler came home second. Jevin Guralski, Jordan Lamb, and Michael Guderski rounded out the top five. Michael Grueneberg  finished sixth, but already had the Late Model Track Championship locked up going into the night. Guderski wouldn’t pass post race technical inspection.

Sportsman

Robert Hansberry Jr. held the top spot in the Sportsman Feature until lap six. That’s when the night’s fast qualifier, Evan Leahy swiped the lead away from him. Leahy proved to have the car to beat. He led the final 34 laps and cruised to victory. Hansberry was able to hold on for second. Kyle Chwala, Chris Jones, and Tytus Helgestad finished the Sportsman Feature with their numbers on the scoreboard. Nick Bruley came home sixth. That sixth place finish was enough, to earn the 2025 Sportsman Track Championship.

Hobby Stocks

The Hobby Stock feature was loaded with action. Bumping and banging throughout the field. After qualifying,  Chester Williams and Avery Linnerud were tied in the championship standings. They started deep in the field and traded positions multiple times during the race. When the fierce action was over with, Jim Tate Jr would claim the feature win. Scott Tiedt, Braeden Yelland,  Waylon Robinson, and Jake Mathison would round out the top five. The season championship would be taken home by Avery Linnerud as the 15 year old pilot finished sixth.

International

Weston Strese claimed the top spot early in the International Feature. Strese led up to lap 17. New Track Record holder,  Blake Nottestad was on a mission for the clean sweep, as he won the heat race earlier in the evening. Strese would experience  mechanical failure and have to retire from the event. Nottestad fended off a couple of late race challenges by Matt Berger. Nottestad saw the checkers first, sealing the deal for the International Championship. The 15 year old was followed to the line by Berger, Jason Uttech, Merek Pankow, and Jose Santacruz.
