Rain Postpones the Show at Jefferson Speedway

May 2, 1998; JEFFERSON WI. – Everyone was ready for the big show at Jefferson Speedway, with two feature races held over from last week, including the Spring Sizzler 50’ Late Model feature. Everyone, that is, except mother nature. The skies opened, washing away the show before it had a chance to start.

On a bright note there was a large field of race cars pulling in, in the rain, to receive the bad news. This show promises to be spectacular, when it is run.

Next week at Jefferson Speedway the action is slated to begin with the Spring Sizzler 50 Late Model feature and the Hobby Stock feature, both held over from April 25. Following these makeup races, fans will be treated to a full night of racing, in all four divisions on Wisconsin’s Action Track.

Pits Open at 3:00, Gates open at 4:00, qualifying and racing will commence ½ hour early with qualifying at 5:00 and racing to begin at 7:00 sharp. Jefferson Speedway is located on highway 18 half way between Jefferson and Cambridge.
