Rain Postpones Planned Events at Jefferson Speedway!
By Larry & Jeanne Starr
May 10, 2003; Jefferson, Wis. — After heat races were completed, in all but the bandit Division, the skies opened up and the remainder of the “Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters 50” program was washed out.
After looking at the available weather radar information, Speedway officials decided that, for the safety of the fans, they would not try to wait this one out.
The remainder of the program will complete next week, picking up where it left off, with Consolation Races, Last Chance Races, and the Features. Following the conclusion of this racing program the full, regularly scheduled, racing program will commence.
To allow time for double Features, in all divisions, qualifying and racing have been scheduled to begin earlier than normal, with qualifying at 4:00 and racing at 6:00 sharp.
Jefferson Speedway is on Highway 18, half way between Cambridge and Jefferson Wisconsin.
